Faymas is a free website where people publish ready-made prompts for AI photo editing, each one shown next to the photo it produced. You find a look you like, copy the prompt, paste it into an AI image tool with a photo of yourself, and the tool rebuilds that look around your face. The site lives at faymas.in, it runs in your browser, and there is nothing to install.

Think of it as a recipe shelf. The creators did the hard part already: they tested the wording until the AI produced a clean, good-looking result. Your job is just to bring your own photo.

Quick facts

  • What it is: a public library of AI photo prompts, each with an example photo
  • Official address: faymas.in
  • Cost: browsing and copying prompts is free
  • What you need: a phone or computer, a clear photo of yourself, and an AI image tool such as Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Midjourney or FLUX
  • App: there is no Faymas app. Anything offered under that name in an app store is not connected to the site

How Faymas works, step by step

1. Pick a look. Browse the categories on faymas.in and open a photo style you like. Every prompt card shows the finished example first, so you know what you are aiming for before you copy anything.

2. Copy the whole prompt. Each card carries the full prompt text the creator used. Copy all of it, not just the first line. The small details near the end, like the lens and lighting words, do a lot of the work.

3. Open your AI image tool. Most people use Google Gemini, since it accepts a photo plus text in one go. ChatGPT, Midjourney and FLUX work too. Our step-by-step Gemini walkthrough covers the exact taps if you want a guided first try.

4. Add your photo and paste. Upload a clear photo of yourself, paste the prompt under it, and generate. The AI keeps your face and rebuilds everything else: clothes, setting, light, mood.

5. Fix one thing at a time. If the result is close but the background feels wrong, say so in plain words: "keep my face and outfit the same, change the background to a beach at sunset." Small corrections beat starting over.

The categories people actually use

The library is sorted by the kind of photo you want to end up with:

  • Girl and boy portraits — clean profile-style shots, from casual selfies to polished studio looks.
  • Couple photos — two-person shots with matched outfits and shared settings. Our guide to couple and saree photo prompts explains how to adjust them for the two of you.
  • Saree and traditional looks — silk sarees, temple steps, festival light, classic drapes.
  • Fashion — street style, editorial poses, outfit-first photos.
  • Cinematic — film-still looks with dramatic light, rain, neon and shadow.
  • Retro — film grain, old studio portraits, vintage colours from past decades.

A real prompt, written out

So you can see the shape of one, here is the style of prompt you will find on the site:

"Create a portrait of the woman in my photo wearing a deep red silk saree with a thin gold border, standing on the stone steps of an old temple at golden hour. Warm sunlight falls from the left. She smiles gently and looks slightly away from the camera. Shot on an 85mm lens, background softly blurred, natural skin texture, rich cinematic colour, ultra detailed, photorealistic."

Notice how nothing in it is random. Clothes, place, light, camera and mood are all named. That structure has a pattern behind it: the prompt formula.

The prompt formula

Strong prompts follow the same eight-part pattern: subject, outfit, pose, location, lighting, camera, mood, quality. Miss one part and the AI guesses, and its guesses are usually worse than yours. If you want the slow version with a worked example, read our breakdown of the AI photo prompt formula. Once you see the pattern, you can write your own prompts instead of only copying them.

Tips that make results better

Start with a good photo of yourself. Face the camera, use daylight, skip sunglasses and heavy filters. The AI can only keep what it can see.

Change one detail at a time. "Same photo, but evening light" works. Rewriting the whole prompt on every try burns your free generations and your patience.

Keep your face out of the prompt text. Describe clothes, place and light. Your uploaded photo handles your face, and describing it in words can fight with the real thing.

Generate twice. The same prompt can give one flat result and one great one. A second run is the cheapest upgrade there is.

Free use and accounts

Browsing the library and copying prompts costs nothing, and you can do it without signing up. An account is for the other side of the site: saving favourites and sharing your own prompts with the example photo they produced. If a prompt you wrote gives you a result you are proud of, publishing it puts your recipe on the shelf for the next person.

Two warnings worth reading

First, the name mix-up. faymas.app is a different business: a fashion and influencer marketplace in the UAE. It has nothing to do with the prompt library. If a page asks you to shop for clothes or book an influencer, you are on the wrong Faymas.

Second, copycats. Popular prompt sites attract look-alike pages with similar names. The real library is at faymas.in. If the address in your browser says anything else, close the tab and type the real one yourself. Our disclaimer page spells out what this guide is and is not connected to.

Getting the prompts onto your phone

There is no file to download and no app to install, which confuses people who arrive here looking for a "Faymas download". The short, honest answer: you open the website, copy a prompt, and use it in the AI tool you already have. Our download page explains that in full and links you straight to the official site.

Questions people ask

Is Faymas free? Yes. Browsing and copying prompts is free. An account is only needed if you want to save favourites or publish your own prompts.

Is there a Faymas app? No. Faymas is a website. Apps using the name are not official, and the similar address faymas.app belongs to a separate fashion business in the UAE.

Which AI tool works best with these prompts? Google Gemini is the most common choice because it takes your photo and the prompt together. ChatGPT, Midjourney and FLUX all accept the same prompt text.

Why does my result look different from the example? Your starting photo drives the result. A clearer, well-lit photo of yourself gets you much closer to the example on the card.

Can I share my own prompt? Yes. Sign up on faymas.in and publish the prompt together with the photo it made. Good ones get copied a lot.

Faymas works because somebody else already did the trial and error. Pick a look, copy the words, bring a decent photo of yourself, and fix one detail at a time. That is the whole craft, and you can learn it in one afternoon. More on why this guide exists is on our about page.
